Education and Academic background:

Associate Professor of Criminal Law at the Department of Law, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. He teaches Criminal Law and Food Criminal Law. He has undertaken various research stays abroad, primarily in Germany at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Crime, Security and Law in Freiburg im Breisgau. He has been a speaker at conferences in Italy, Spain, England, and Romania. Author of around fifty scientific publications, including an encyclopedic article and three monographs: Scriminanti incomplete e giudizi controfattuali. Contributo a uno studio sull'imputazione dell'illecito penale (Giappichelli, 2019), Appunti sulla legittima difesa. Una questione politica (Giappichelli, 2020), Diritto penale alimentare e tecnica legislativa. Uno studio sulla decodificazione (Giappichelli, 2024). He leads the Centro di Ricerca Interdipartimentale sulla Sicurezza Alimentare (CRISA).
Ph.D. in Criminal Law (2016). Practicing criminal defense attorney since 2018.
